Vikings has been a remarkable series for those who love to watch stuff set in medieval ages. It is filled with great warriors and characters, amazing stories and bloody fights and so much romance. Vikings is known for the story arcs it has but apart from that, a major factor of it’s great success is the great acting by those who succeed to nail their portrayals. It’s hard to imagine the actors in Vikings playing a different role in the series as all of them are great at doing what they do best.
Created by Michael Hirst, Vikings debuted on History Channel in 2013. Right after it’s release, the series attracted a number of peoples as the fans wanted something else with that Game of Thrones flavour. The show was orignally planned to be a mini series. Shortly after it’s release, it was renewed for a second season. Now the fans are enjoying the sixth and final season of Vikings. Only the first half of the sixth season has arrived so far and fans are losing their mind to watch the second part.

In the beginning, the series featured the adventures of Ragnar Lothbrok to the west. He raided the west, plundered the churces and towns, later he even fought for his rivals. But his fate was ultimately decided in the fourth season after he was thrown in a venomous pit on the orders of King Aelle. After Ragnar’s demise, his sons took the responsibility of being the protagonists for the rest of the series.
Well, Ragnar Lothbrok was killed but the actor, Travis Fimmel never wanted to play the role of Ragnar Lothbrok. Now the question is: What did he want to play then?
TRAVIS FIMMEL WANTED TO PLAY THE ROLE OF FLOKI
Yes, Travis Fimmel desired to play the role of Floki but it was ultimately given to Gustaf Skarsgård.
Speaking to TheWrap Travis said, “I actually wanted to play Floki originally, but the good stuff was already cast,” adding, “and he did it way better than I could ever do it.”
It shows how much appreciation Travis has for Gustaf for his portrayal as Floki. Floki is a a joyful personality and just like ths Tricker Loki, he too is the trickster among his people. A good friend of Ragnar and known for his eccentric behaviour, deep down emotionally troubled. Travis Fimmel stated that he really wanted to act as Floki but it couldn’t be possible for him.
