According to Kripke, the Winchester name was inspired from two sources. First of these was the 19th century rifle gun and company. The second one by Winchester Mystery House which belonged to the same family which now is a haunted tourist place in San Jose.

So we can say that Winchester name was a far more superior choice compared to Harrison.
