Legacies follows Hope Mikaelson, the daughter of Klaus Mikaelson and Hayley Marshall. She is descended from some of the most powerful vampire, werewolf, and witch bloodlines. Two years after the events of The Originals, 17-year-old Hope attends the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted. The school provides a haven where supernatural beings can learn to control their abilities and impulses.
Last two seasons of Legacies had pretty good response from the audience but it also lacked some things. Some characters didn’t get proper screentime, such as Kaleb and Sebastian.
Now, the main cast of the show Danielle Kaylee Bryant as Josie Saltzman, Aria Shahghasemi as Landon Kirby, Rose Russell as Hope Mikaelson, Jenny Boyd as Lizzie Saltzman, and Matt Davis as Alaric Saltzman. All of these are likely to return for season three.
We don’t know so much about the plot of Season 3. But, we can expect more cast members from ‘The Vampire Diaries’ and ‘The Originals’ to make an appearance. Even Season 2 hinted to something like this with the mention of the evil Kai Parker. He murdered Josie and Lizzie Saltzman’s mother in TVD.
Creator Julie Plec revealed that Kai Parker’s character would have further references in the future as he is a big part of the twin’s backstory.
Other cast members joining the record of season three include Peyton Alex Smith as Rafael Waithe and Quincy Fouse as MG. We can accept Original characters like Caroline, Bonnie, or Mikael to reunite nothing is without a doubt. I’d personally love to see Mikael in Legacies.
There are also rumors that we’re going to see more characters from The Originals. I’m personally rooting for Marcel and Kol.
Legacies season three’s expected to be released in October 2020. But that cannot happen now on account of the ongoing pandemic. So the makers have decided to expand the release date. We won’t get to see the show until early 2021.
